About WaiBop Football
Waikato / Bay of Plenty (WaiBop) Football is one of Seven Football Federations responsible for managing the growth and development of Football in New Zealand, in partnership with New Zealand Football and aligning to the Football In New Zealand Strategic Plan 2016-2025.
WaiBOP Football is responsible for organising, developing and managing key elements of the game including; game leadership, competitions, player, referee and coach development, club support and sustainability, member registrations and data management.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, your key responsibilities are to oversee the strategic direction and organisational operations of WaiBOP Football aligning to the WaiBOP Football Strategic Plan (2018- 2021), delivering on the Federation’s annual business objectives and meeting the technical expectations of Football in the region.
You will oversee the effective management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders; including commercial and community partners, funders, media and the wider football community.
Of equal importance; providing excellent leadership, fiscal management, systems and processes with the ability to communicate across all levels, cultures and within the game are all fundamental to your success in this role.
Desired Skills and Experience
We are looking for candidates with outstanding stakeholder management and relationship management skills as well as at least 10-years’ experience in senior management of similar organisations. You will have proven experience in organisation leadership, staff management, ability to develop innovative new revenue streams and demonstrable financial management skills.
Knowledge and understanding of Football is preferred but not essential.
