ABOUT THE WARRIORS

Founded in 1995, the Vodafone Warriors (formerly Auckland Warriors) are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand.  The Club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) Premiership and is the League’s only team from outside Australia.

ROLE SUMMARY

As Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the GM Commercial in the day-to-day management and execution of the Vodafone Warriors sponsorship programme.  Acting as the key point of contact for the club’s commercial partners, you will work with the club’s various business units to plan, develop and implement sponsor leverage activities to promote, grow, and enhance sponsorship / commercial partnerships.

You will ensure all sponsor correspondence is responded to promptly and professionally as well as managing the timely and successful delivery of contracted benefits including delivery of sponsors player hours. You will be the primary point of contact on match days ensuring sponsors have appropriate information to execute / leverage activity to meet their needs and objectives of their business.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Min 4 years’ experience in partnership / account management or marketing positions
• Outstanding relationship management skills with the ability to relate to varying level
• A natural instinct for creating mutually beneficial partnerships through innovative ideas and activations.
• Outstanding organisation, event management, planning and communication skills.
• Proven ability to think outside the box to create innovative customer solutions.
• Prior employment within a media and / or advertising agency would be well regarded
• Prior experience working in sport is not required however a passion for sport is important
