Global Elite Sports recently partnered with New Zealand Football to undertake the search for their new GM High Performance.
After a global search process attracting candidates from multiple countries around the world, we are delighted to confirm the appointment of former Leicester City Academy Director, and current FIFA Head of Technical Leadership, Gareth Jennings, as the new General Manager of High Performance.
Most recently, as Head of Technical Leadership for FIFA, Jennings was responsible for the development of all Technical Directors, High Performance Directors and Coach Education Managers globally.
Jennings starts the position at an exciting time for Football in New Zealand following the OlyWhites breaking new ground in Tokyo by reaching the quarter-finals at the Olympics for the first time and the FIFA Women’s World Cup being co-hosted in New Zealand in 2023.
Jennings starts his new position in September following completion of MIQ protocols and Global Elite Sports wishes him all the very best in his exciting new role.
