An exciting opportunity has arisen for Direct Sales Manager for the GILBERT (Rugby/Netball), STEEDEN (Rugby League and Touch Football) and GRAY-NICOLLS (Cricket). GILBERT is the official football for the Rugby World Cup 2019, the Australian Rugby Union, Super Rugby and every major association and club competition in the country. GILBERT is also the official netball of Netball Australia, the Super Netball Competition all State Associations. STEEDEN is the official football of the NRL, State of Origin, NSW Rugby League and NSW Country Rugby League and both the Australian and New Zealand Rugby League’s. GRAY-NICOLLS is a renowned cricket brand and is the bat of choice for many of the world’s leading cricket players including David Warner.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong relationships as well as the direct sales of Teamwear, Balls and Equipment to Schools, Clubs, Associations and Sponsors/Corporates across Rugby Union, Netball, Rugby League and Cricket. You will have full responsibility for generating direct sales primarily focused on the customised product program, from the initial enquiry through to delivery and after sales service. You will work closely with and take direction from the Head Office and work in conjunction with customer service, warehouse and designers. You will be required to produce weekly sales reports highlighting key contacts made, status of enquires and other key information such as contact details of existing customers.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful, ideally you will have proven experience selling into NSW schools and sporting clubs or have an existing network of contacts in both the school and club environments, especially in the areas of Rugby, Cricket and Netball. Prior sales experience of working in the customised sportswear industry will be advantageous.
You will be a highly motivated individual who is well organised, have the ability to build strong relationships and demonstrate a proven track record for achieving sales targets. Your ability to work independently and convert opportunities into sales will be paramount to your success in this role.
