The Auckland Rugby Union are seeking a full-time HP Academy & NPC Team Manager to lead and manage the delivery of the ARU High Performance Academy and programmes with responsibility for overseeing the facilitation of key player development as well as manage on and off field operations, logistics and team support of the Auckland NPC team demonstrating strong leadership that is focused on winning.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
To be HP Academy & NPC Team Manager you will have proven experience in managing a High-Performance Academy and high performing cultures, developing both players and staff whilst driving a high level of accountability and ability to set and maintain standards and behaviours. The ability to engage with a diverse mix of players through collaboration and trust will be imperative.
You will have experience in managing High Performance teams, an understanding of Talent Identification, from grassroots right through the performance pathway and a strong strategic approach to support the Head of High Performance in the wider High-Performance Strategy across all programmes.
To be successful within this role, it will require people leadership skills to develop, motivate, inspire and build sustainable relationships across Coaching, High Performance and Development staff, as well as many external stakeholders. The candidate will also be an excellent operator with strong communication skills (verbal and written) be highly organised, have exceptional time management skills and an ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
